Love the sound of the cam and the performance gains from it. I was able to pick up .40 in my 1/4-mile times and 3 mph. Still working on the tune but have high hopes for the end result.
Great service… great communication… Ryan spent time on the phone with me talking about options. Unfortunately haven’t been able to try the new tune out yet as winter hit by the time I got it back. But I’m looking forward to it.
I had the infamous hemi lifter failure, and I figured since I had to replace the cam and lifters anyway, why not upgrade to a more aggressive cam vs a stock replacement. So thats exactly what I did.
After countless hours leading into days and days of research online and watching a lot of videos on YT, all my research was pointing me towards FRP.
I wanted to find a place where I could order most (if not) everything I needed from one place, and FRP does just that. (All hardware plus all gaskets).
My 2012 Ram 1500 5.7 now has a nice “Chop” with the Mk-82 cam and the added power is definitely there, the chop is not too aggressive but it is definitely noticeable. Passing gear is wicked, I definitely get a lot of compliments at gas stations and red-lights.
I wanted a nice cam that didn’t require me to change my bottom end or torque converter. The MK-82 is great for a daily driver as well.
Im very glad I chose FRP, the staff there was very helpful and patient with me as I had to contact them a few different times throughout my rebuild process to ask different questions, I really can’t say enough good thing’s about FRP.
