I rarely write a review about a product, person or service unless I truly feel that I received an exceptional product or exception service. In this case I did receive both; an exceptional product along with exceptional service; a custom HP tune for my car from Ryan Hogan of Flyin’ Ryan Performance.
Back at the end of 2013, I ordered a 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT and a year later I threw away my remaining warranty and installed a Whipple supercharger and long tube headers. This combination I loved and I love that car. Well, in about 2020, it started using some oil, dripping oil and acting “weird” so I saved my money and in 2025 I had a very reputable engine builder, Zach Brennan Mueller of Race Prep Performance, rebuild the engine. My engine did suffer from popped piston tops. Zach built my engine to withstand 1000 horsepower! Jon Sipple of Sipple’s Speed and Performance, rebuilt my NAG 1 transmission with upgraded parts (great company and person too). Zach installed a Flyin’ Ryan Tomahawk camshaft as part of my rebuild.
Once I got my car back there were a couple of tuning issues which came up and I wanted Jon Sipple to look over the tune for the transmission due to some “bobbles” in shifting and Ryan Hogan, (Flyin’ Ryan), to look over the HP tune and especially with engine startup which was originally attributed to the new camshaft.
After contacting both Jon and Ryan, Jon agreed to help Ryan should he need anything related to the transmission. I was impressed with the all of the help and instruction for having Flyin’ Ryan tune a vehicle which was on his web site and the personal interaction in the tuning process.
Everything went in careful baby steps to properly tune my car. Me installing the tunes and doing scans and emailing back and forth especially on the appointment day. That was pretty cool in that we could send stuff back and forth without too much delay since he was focused on my car during that appointment time.
My car screams now! It is scary! It was pretty good before with a dyno rating of 650 RWHP with over 600 foot pounds of torque. I’d love to get it on a dyno now just so I would know, but Ryan estimated it at around 700 RWHP from similar builds and tunes he has done.
I cannot say enough good things about Ryan or about how well my car is running. I am a very happy camper!
